Safety Always

Safety is a fundamental component of W. L. Butler and the safety of our projects and Team Members is our #1 priority.  Our Safety Department’s efforts are supported by all W. L. Butler Team Members, by our On-site Team Members on each Project, by our Executives, and through our Subcontractor partners. We always strive to exceed industry standards, manage our projects with the highest level of attention to safety, and comply with all applicable safety regulatory requirements. And, our efforts have not gone unnoticed. W. L. Butler has been consistently acknowledged for safe practices, including Cal/OSHA “Golden Gate Partnership Recognition” and CLP Resources “Safety Partner of the Year.”

Pre-Construction

Working collaboratively with the project owner, architect, consultants, city officials, and sub-trade partners, we strive to ensure that every project has the most cost effective design. By vetting-out any logistical or constructability issues, our pre-construction teams will provide a thorough project cost analysis, cost-effective alternatives and contingency plans before materials are ordered and construction teams arrive onsite.

Scheduling

A variety of state-of the-art software systems to provide easy and accurate project tracking and reporting, including a master project schedule,  construction and three week look ahead schedules.

Estimating

Detailed and accurate estimates, incorporating subcontractor input, historical company data and a quantity survey with unit cost analysis, provide accuracy and reliability when making financial decisions or managing the final project budget.

Design-Build

By teaming with design professionals, including architects and engineers, we make efficient use of design time and costs, to develop creative approaches to solving design challenges.

Value Engineering

To keep your project on budget, we can identify alternatives that may reduce or even eliminate some costs, without jeopardizing the quality of the project or design program.

BIM/VDC

BIM is utilized extensively throughout the construction process at W. L. Butler, offering a comprehensive logistic plan and detailed constructability review to eliminate potential conflicts design and systems conflicts.

Renewable Energy

Building What Matters™ means building sustainably. We incorporate CalGreen Building Standards Code as mandated and LEED Building Standards when required by using renewable resources more efficiently, and reducing the impact that construction has on the local and global environments.
