This fully enclosed three building operation spans 4.9 acres and is completely enveloped with forced air circulation to reduce odors, commercial high-speed doors and a misting system to minimize dust and storm impacts, as well as the latest energy efficient/environmental controls available in the industry. The first of its kind in the Los Angeles area, this award winning facility is equipped with a solar powered collection system and the ability to sort/process food-waste.

The multi-story trash sorting assembly traverses over 500 feet and is permitted to handle 1,500 tons of mixed commercial and multifamily waste daily; of which approximately 30% is recycled material. The Transfer Station’s 200-foot below grade tunnel can accommodate two multi-trailered trucks, restrooms, break room, locker facilities and an elevated storage deck. The 20,770 sq.ft. Bale building features a conventional steel office mezzanine with restrooms, break room, offices, conference room and lobby. The 9,607 MRF structure and Bale building enclose the main portions of the recycling equipment.
