Tenant ImprovementsComplete remodel of an existing masonry and wood frame structure including seismic upgrades, tenant improvements, new roof, exterior stucco system and sitework. This 56-year-old roller skating rink was transformed into a high-tech all-digital printing and fulfillment facility, while maintaining the integrity of the original structure. The 17,000 square foot “skate-of-the-art” facility was refurbished to streamline workflow, installing miles of fiber optics, an ePlanRoom for digital drawings, specifications, books and plan archiving, a Web-enabled conference center, a new storefront and office workspaces. The great barrel-trussed roof was reinforced, and the historic skating floor was restored with four layers of long-cut maple hardwood.
