Improvements to an existing wood framed, stucco and tile building for a new substance abuse treatment center in downtown for unsheltered homeless individuals who need respite and withdrawal services after hospital discharge or before entering longer-term treatment. The CMC Respite Center has nine beds for men and six for women, as well as two beds in separate rooms for cases involving special needs, such as pregnancy care. The remainder of the property includes a covered patio area with new landscaping for the patients to enjoy, as well as a parking lot for employee and guest parking. Due to the type of patients occupying this facility, door hardware and plumbing fixtures needed to meet anti-ligature requirements.
