New 42-acre mixed-used development near the 210 Freeway and Base Line Road interchange
Expansive retail redevelopment project servicing a neighboring retirement community
Renovations to a 15-acre shopping center that provides necessity-based shopping for a community of over 10,000 retirement residents and draws consumers from numerous surrounding neighborhoods. The existing 50-year-old center has an entirely new identity with an updated look featuring warmer and more modern colors and materials. Scope included seismic retrofitting of the existing (7) building structures, new signage, lush landscaping, all-new exterior finishes, plazas for friends and family gatherings, hundreds of new trees, bocce ball courts, lush plantings, beautiful lighting and highly accessible parking. The main entrances were reconstructed; making them more prominent and easily identifiable with large 12×12 wood columns wrapped in natural stone bases and precast stone caps, new storefronts and energy efficient glazing components. Improved footpaths and crosswalks connect the shopping center and improve pedestrian safety for patrons of all ages. Modifications to the traffic flow accommodate transit drop-off and pick-up services from the adjacent retirement community.
